I met Margaret when I was about 11. Have many wonderful memories. First visits looking around the farm and taking photos. Remember when I was about 17 our families going for a drive to Gold River to try some gold panning. Is toward the east coast. Have a keepsake photo. Also many visits when I was back in Victoria. Always want to be thankful for the rides Margaret and Ron gave my back and forth to the airport. We will miss Margaret very much. Sending our sympathy.

Sorry to hear about Marg’s passing. My heartfelt condolences to her family.
I was one of her fellow walkers (WalkSmart) and enjoyed our conversation during walks.

I first met Marg in high school and then 7 years later Marg, Ron and their family moved onto the same street as us. We raised our kids together, doing many outings, playtime and coffee visits, etc. We have always walked together and continued to do so until this fall when we had to stop due to COVID. I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Marg, she was so easy going, was very proud of her family and we are all going to miss her terribly.

I can remember trying to keep up with Marg when we went out walking with one of the walking groups! She was always at the head of the group. There was one occasion when four of us went to Vancouver for the day. She told me the basics of how to navigate the public transportation system in Vancouver. Every time I've been there since, I bless her for that kindness.

Margaret will be sadly missed especially when I am back home in Victoria and looking for a walking buddy. She was always up for a walk along Dallas Rd, Moss Rocks, Durrance Lake and so many other places that she knew well. What do I remember most? I remember meeting Marg in about 1960 when cousin Ronnie brought his girlfriend out to our farm, I remember family dinners, Christmas fun at Tolmie Ave., Baker St, Vanalman and finally Aldersmith. Marg inspired me in family history by sharing her/our family trees. We have had to say good-bye to Marg too soon and I will miss her so much but she leaves a wonderful legacy in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Going back home to Victoria will not be the same! My sympathies and love to her family. Photo by cousin Marilyn Meyer Peladeau when I first met Marg (on right in photo)

For her family. I worked with Marg at VGH and here is what some of her coworkers said to me when I notified them.
Amazing Unit Clerk, lovely person, great to work with, and remember the pride she spoke with when talking about her family. I always remember if you couldn't find something or didn't know how something was done, Marg did. Condolences to you all. Cathy and others from 6DN.
