So sad to learn of Barry's passing. I have fawn memories of Barry when he was just a kid who would tease us girls. I am so proud of him and his sister for turning their homestead into a state park. I remember the home he built on Campbell bay point with most of the wood and rock coming from the beach. Barry loved nature and Mayne Island. He will be missed

Oh no, this is so sad. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Barry. I just spoke with Barry in October. He told me a great story about when he, and Ed, my dad, and Gordon, my uncle, took Christmas trees from Mayne Island to sell in Vancouver. We have lost a good person.

Losing Barry is a huge loss to our community. My favourite memory of Barry was near Christmas one year and there wasn't a tree to be bought on the island and Barry kindly brought me and my young daughter a tree that he had chopped down. My condolences to Sally, Tracy and the rest of the family.
