When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no tears or gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little but not too long And not with your head bowed low, Remember the love we all shared, Miss me, but let me go. 633375

My sincere condolences to you, the girls and their families. I have many happy memories of your family in Marathon, babysitting the girls and a breif but memorable visit in Winnipeg back in 1986. Wow, that was so long ago but I do remember how welcoming both you and Jim were and some of the stories we shared catching up. Keep the happy memories close and know that Jim is smiling while looking down on you and your family!

I have really happy memories of my Uncle Jim from the times I visited Winnipeg, I was only there 10 minutes and he was speaking in a Scottish accent. His story of Barbequing at Christmas in the snow has rubbed off on me. He always wanted me to visit in Winter to witness Winnipeg snow.

One day but it won’t be the same.

Sadly it's my wee brother who now lies at rest,
Childhood memories now stand the test
Of the days and months and years long gone
I can just remember when he was born

A friend of all, a seeker of truth,
A respecter of age, and a guide to youth:
Few hearts like his, with virtue warmed,
Few heads with knowledge so informed;

If there's another world, he lives in bliss;
If there is none, he made the best of this.

I look at his picture,
The smile seems the same,
The face is familiar,
And so is the name.

It is difficult to say,
In poem or in letter,
He was my dad's brother,
Who I wish I'd known better.

With a family that loved him,
As the best dad around,
And a wife he could share,
All the good things he found.

It is with heavy heart,
We must all say good-bye,
For this fine man now lives,
With God in the sky.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. When ever Jim came in to the office his smile lit up the room. I will surely miss and also remember his light hearted smile that made me smile. :-)
