Mary Elizabeth Genevieve GIBERSON

GIBERSON, Mary Elizabeth Genevieve It is with great sadness that we announce that Genevieve passed peacefully on March 26, 2012. She was born on November 23, 1920 in Meota, Sask. Predeceased by her husband Randolph (1994), her father John Ness, mother Catherine Collie, step-father Fred Collie, and brother Frank Ness. She is lovingly remembered by her brother George Ness (Joan); daughter Karen (Wayne); sons Leonard and Raymond; grandchildren Nathan, Aaron, Courtenay, Sean (Terrilynn), Laura, Krista (Matt) and Heather (Paul); and nine greatgrandchildren. Gen was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother. She belonged to the Catholic Women's League and the Canadian Red Cross. She loved to garden and to travel. Our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at Luther Court for their care and respect for Mom for the past 3 years. Funeral Mass with Father Robert Mmegwa officiating will be held on Saturday, March 31st at noon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 9735 Elm St., Chemainus, B.C. Visitation at 11:00am prior to the service. Reception to follow at St. Joseph's School. Cremation and interment will be a private family gathering at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
