DAVIES, Art Peacefully passed away at Broadmead Lodge on July 3rd, 2018. Born and raised in James Bay on January 18, 1919, six months shy of his 100th birthday. Predeceased by his wife Marie (1990), 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Leaves behind Marie's son James Cain and family, also many friends and relatives. Art, "The Chief" worked for the City of Victoria for 33 years, and lived his entire life in James Bay, where he was known as Uncle Art by most who knew him. Art was the original founder and Lifetime Member of the James Bay Anglers Association, a boat launch facility which is still in operation today. Art was a Veteran and longtime member of the R.C.L. Trafalgar/Pro Patria Branch #292. Many thanks to Broadmead Lodge for their care of Art, and a special thank you to Jack & Patti and the staff at Parry Place assisted living in James Bay, who cared for Art as family for many years. "Rest in Peace Art" No service by request. Celebration of Life will be held at the R.C.L. Trafalgar/Pro Patria on Saturday, July 28, 2018, from 1 to 3 PM.
