STEVENS, Basil Carlton "Mickey" Born in Strome, Alberta on November 15, 1916, passed away July 1, 2014, in Victoria, British Columbia. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lillian, their son Mark and grandchildren Margo, Haley and McKinley (Mick), of Winnipeg, and several nieces, nephews and friends. Mickey would want to thank Dr. John Kier MacPherson and Sandy for their contributions to his quality of life these past twenty-eight years. Anything he missed in life, he did not have time to miss. There will be a Celebration of Life at the The Royal Canadian Legion, Trafalgar / Pro Patria Branch No.292 411 Gorge Road East, Victoria BC, on July 12th, 2014 at 2pm. There is an elevator available. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kiwanis Club of Victoria Foundation, 1419 Mallek Crescent, Victoria, BC, V8T 2R3.

You don't meet many gentlemen like Mickey in our lives. He was a wonderful friend and neighbour. His energy was boundless, and his letter writing was legendary. Our sincere sympathy's to Lillian, Mark and families.
