With sadness we announce that in the early hours of July 5, 2018 Brian passed away peacefully at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital after a long battle with COPD (Cardio Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene and only son, Tod. Brian is also survived by his sister Eldeen and brothers: Russell and Greg, as well as countless nieces and nephews. Brian was born in Kelliher, SK and moved at the age of four to Wilmer, BC where he found the love of his life, Darlene, whom he married on August 6, 1966. Three years later Brian & Darlene had their first and only child, Tod in Invermere, BC. In his early years he love to go fishing, camping, hunting, and playing golf. In 1975 Brian and family moved to Sidney making it their home until today. Brian loved his family, friends, and extended family (his beloved pets (Julie, Lady, Bessie, and Maddie) more than anything else. The family would like to extend its sincere gratitude to Dr. Wray and the nurses at the SPH who cared for him and made him comfortable during his last weeks with us. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation.

There will be a Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends at our home in Sidney on July 14, 2018.
