Dale Humpherys Obituary
HUMPHERYS, Dale October 7, 1927 February 26, 2010 Passed away peacefully after a short illness. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eleanor, daughters, Carrie (Dujela), and Sherrie (Unwin). Grandson Dr. Michael Dujela (Lilana) great grandson Christian Dujela of Olympia, Wash., and Lindsay Unwin of Toronto, Ontario. Dale had a successful career in Calgary, Alberta teaching at Mt. Royal College. He also performed, published, composed, and owned a musical instrument import business. In 1964 he moved to Brentwood Bay to enjoy his loves which were family, fishing, music, and he was a master gardener at his hobby farm for 40 years on Oldfield Road. He, his wife, and daughter Sherrie joined eldest daughter Carrie at Brentwood School of Music in 1974, where he was beloved for his sense of humour and inspiration by his students and fellow teachers until 2009. Special thanks to Drs. Bosman and du Toit. A private family service was held. Condolences may be sent to 9968 Resthaven Drive, Sidney, B.C., V8L 3G1. Cremation.
