ADAMSON, Lt. Gen. (Ret) David Ritchie March 10, 1923 July 31, 2011 David enjoyed an interesting military and aeronautical career of many years, followed by happy busy years on rural Lands End Road in North Saanich. His life was filled with many surprises, joys and rewards. He was happily married to Marjorie for almost 66 years; proud father of 3 lovely daughters, Shirley Margaret Adamson and twins Brenda Davis-White and Barbara Bell; enjoyed 6 grandchildren and 2 "greatgrands ". David is also survived by his brothers Arthur and James (Vivien). Predeceased by his sister Dorothea. David came to a smooth landing at San Pen Hospital under the concerned care of Dr. James Forster and many sensitive specialized doctors, nurses and volunteer caregivers who eased his approach to his final landing. All are gratefully acknowledged by the family. He will always be loved and remembered by many relatives and friends from all parts of the world. Private family arrangements have been made for David. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. 634006
