CHOW, Edward Ginn It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Edward Ginn Chow who slipped away peacefully on March 30, 2018 at Victoria Hospice, in the early morning after his 86th birthday. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, May, his brothers Jon and Tom (Betty) and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Ed was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Virginia, Rose, Daisy, Pearl and brother Bill. Ed was born on March 29, 1932 in Victoria, B.C and worked as an automotive machinist at Reynolds Colgate until it closed. In Ed's youth, he enjoyed hunting and scuba diving. He also enjoyed swimming at the YM-YWCA where he was a member since 1959. Since joining in 1964, Ed was an active member of the Victoria Chinatown Lions Club. Ed held many positions through the years such as President of his own club, and was the District Governor for 19-I at the International level. To many he was also known as one of the owners of B & E Market at the corner of Fort and Cook. Brothers Bill (B) and Ed (E) worked there until it changed ownership in 1988. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 1pm.
