CHAMBERS, Elizabeth (Ross) Passed away peacefully of natural causes surrounded by her family who loved her, in Victoria, BC on November 16, 2007. Born in Vancouver, BC on January 19, 1925, Elizabeth is best described by her family as courageous, vibrant and thoughtful. She was devoted to her family and friends and was a constant source of encouragement to all around her. A student of Magee High school and a graduate of University of British Columbia, Elizabeth served for almost 20 years at University of Alberta. A long time member of the Unitarian Church, Elizabeth was active in her community. Elizabeth was a lifetime learner, international traveler and passionate cook. She was an avid supporter and collector of fine arts as well as being active in the performing arts communities. Elizabeth lived in a number of places in North America and in Africa, this contributed to her enlightened and tolerant perspective. Sister of Bob, Mozetta, Jack, Murray and Don all predeceased. Mother of Neil (Donna), Paul (Diana, Chantal), Scott (Karen), Anne (Peter), Justine (Randy). Grandmother of Thane (Jason), Justine (Joshua), Adam, Hannah, Stephan, Emilia, and Catherine. Greatgrandmother of Felix. Aunt of Claire, Ross, Jacqueline, Alan, Rob, Leslie and David. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the caring and conscientious staff of the Geriatric Assessment ward at Victoria General Hospital.
