George PATTERSON

PATTERSON George Ralph, born July 3, 1914 in Sibbald, Alberta; passed away peacefully at Luther Court on January 24, 2004. Predeceased by his wife Valerie (December 20, 2003) and his parents, Minerva and Henry Lawrence Patterson and by his brothers Donald, Lorne, Harvey, Jim and sister Mable Filmore. He is lovingly remembered by sisters Clara Patterson, Florence Blair, Beatrice Stevens and Fern Finlay; daughters Alexandra Patterson and Deni Chazottes; son-in-law Paul Chazottes; grandsons Mike, Ryan and Jordan; sisters-in-law Beth Harmon and Gwendolyn-May Ellis (Ron Ellis). George grew up southeast of Calgary and apprenticed with his Uncle Donald Patterson, a lawyer in Grande Prairie. George and Valerie moved to Montreal where he worked as an accountant for the Foundation Company of Canada and advanced to management in Foundation's Toronto office. George moved west to Edmonton as Vice President of Construction Equipment Company and then to Vancouver in the same capacity. George completed his career in Toronto as President of American Hoist of Canada Ltd. and retired to Victoria in 1986. Many thanks to the staff at Luther Court for their kindness.
