The man was a brother I never had, I knew him since I was six years old. He taught me a lot about anything with a motor, especially motorcycles. There is a big hole in my heart now that he is gone.

Condolences to Jim's family and friends. I met Jim in the 1980s, of course, while hunting for hard to find bike parts. Our paths crossed many times over the years as I repaired my damaged or restoration worthy bikes. It was also great to see him as far south as Laguna Seca. He was a shrewd, but oftentimes generous business man. I'll recall his fondness for animals and birds and his underlying passion for motorcycles. He was an important and memorable part of the Victoria motorcycle scene.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We have so many good memories racing motorcycles with Jim. Such a great person. He will be missed by the local and Northwest USA racing clubs. RIP Jim.
