Janet Elizabeth WALT

WALT, Janet Elizabeth 1943 - 2013 It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend Janet died suddenly on July 25, 2013 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. Janet was born in Victoria on October 29, 1943. She is survived by her beloved sons Chris (Amy), and Darren, grandsons Gio and Markus, her sisters Sheila and Connie, and her brother Patrick, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. Janet's husband Ken died one year ago and was much loved and dearly missed by her and the whole family. She loved her grandsons deeply, and the highlight of her day was to go to watch them play baseball and soccer, never missing a game. Jan and Ken enjoyed RVing for many years, travelling throughout BC and down south with good friends. Janet lived life fully, always having fun, enjoying her family, friends and her constant companion Lucky the dog. She will be missed dearly. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Perchinsky and the staff of the Cardiac Unit for their valiant efforts to keep Janet with us. There will be no service by request. A private celebration of Janet's life for family and close friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice or the SPCA.
