Marg was predeceased by her husband Norman, her parents Percy and Annie (Barnes) Wooster, her brother George and his wife Jean (Lewis) Wooster, her very dear friend Eb Burles, and her youngest granddaughter Christine. They are all gone now but will not be forgotten.
Having no children of her own, Marguerite is survived by nephews and nieces, Brian (Doreen Smith) Wooster, Barry (Vicki Butler) Wooster, Donald (Jane) Wooster, Linda (Terry Campbell) Bayly, Sandra (Barry) Hills, and their families. She is also survived by step-son Everett (Emelie) Friesen, grandchildren Sandra (Chris) Riley, Colleen (Paul) Greenhalgh, Richard (Shari) Friesen, Deborah (Darrell) Bremner, and Robert (Jennifer) Friesen, along with 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Marg also leaves behind her cousin Don and his wife June Barnes, brother-in-law Gordon Friesen and many Friesen nieces and nephews. Special thanks to dear friends Margaret and Brian Hewitt, and to all the ladies that supported and encouraged Marg these past many months. She lives on in the memories of us all!!
Marguerite was a no-nonsense, take charge and energetic lady. She loved travelling (she really enjoyed her trip down the Rhine and Danube), golf, theatre and symphony productions, showing visitors around Victoria, cousin reunions and family visits, being with friends (Marg kept in touch with fellow nurses from her graduating class after 60+ years, also exercise class and bridge friends) and her volunteer work with the Kiwanis.
Marg met Norman while she was working at St. Paul's in Vancouver, when he visited a patient of hers, and they married on June 30, 1956. In 1962, they began life on Thetis Island as owners of Telegraph Harbour Marina. They later traded that island life for the Hawaiian island of Maui and then back to living full time on Vancouver Island . They travelled and had many adventures together, they knew how to live life to the fullest and have fun. Now they are together again.
As Marguerite wished, there will be no religious or Funereal Rites other than cremation and her ashes will be placed with those of her husband Norman. We ask that you do something kind for somebody to honour Marguerite's memory.
