OLDROYD, Mary (nee Cutts) Passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 after 6 months in hospital following a hip fracture. She leaves her beloved husband of 61 years, Cliff; daughters Susan, Judith (Jim), son Jamie (Pat) and five grandsons; Matthew, Johnathan, Tyler, Connor and Sam. Two brothers, Frank (Marna) Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Harry (Margaret) in Florida. Mary was born in Barnsley, England, moving to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan as a young girl where she went on to become a nurse and marry Cliff. The family moved to Esquimalt in 1956. Both Mary and Cliff volunteered their time with the Macaulay Elementary School PTA, the Canadian Red Cross, lacrosse, hockey, Girl Guides, Esquimalt Arts & Crafts and Kiwanis. No service by request. Flowers gratefully declined in favour of donations to the BC Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring nurses of VGH 5A South and Drs. Henry and Spink. 588443

God bless mary and help Cliff in his healing I work with this wonderful woman at THE GORGE RD HOSPITAL on 3rd floor I had many coffee breaks with Mary and treasure them all She made showing up for work worth while.And Cliff the quiet loving Husband she treasured, God Bless you all
