Robert Wayne Jarvis

JARVIS, Robert Wayne (Bob) 28 May 1943 to 31 March 2016 Our beloved Husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle and Friend died at Royal Jubilee Hospital after a valiant effort to overcome his illness. Bob faced his cancer with determination, courage and incredible strength. He continued living his life with interest and pleasure; enjoying his hobbies of golf, woodworking, travel and conquering his daily crossword puzzle. Bob will be remembered always by Gina, his wife of 39 years, and his much loved son Tom; his brothers Al, Brian (Brenda); his sister-in-law Margaret Hope, brothers-in-law Jay Hope (Dawn), Greg Hope (Sharon) and Rod Hope (Judy). Bob was loved by his nieces and nephews along with many wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his parents Len and Olive Jarvis and survived by his Uncle, Chuck Clark (Jean). There are no words to express our loss and we will miss him every day. Bob had a very successful 35 year career with BC Hydro in the Electrical Design Division in Victoria, Richmond and Vancouver. His work included: commercial and residential overhead and underground design. He loved the variety of the work. The family appreciates the compassionate care provided by many individuals at the Vancouver Island BC Cancer Agency and the Royal Jubilee Hospital 8N. We would especially like to thank Dr. David Fenton for his guidance and support as Bob continued on this journey. A Gathering to remember Bob's life will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the Gorge Vale Golf Club from 2 to 4 pm, 1005 Craigflower Rd, Victoria, BC.
