TINDALL William David, May 29, 1921 - April 9, 2004, passed away at Saanich Peninsula Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Treherne, Manitoba, predeceased by wife Wilda in 2001, Bill is greatly missed and lovingly remembered by sister Elsie Doersam of Victoria, son's Gary (Judy) and Bryan (Heather), grand children David (Diana), Karen (Barry), Blair, Darryl and Christine, great-grandchildren Joshua, Jennifer and Nickolas, nieces, nephews and many friends. Bill served with the RCAF in the Second World War as an airframe mechanic, discharged in 1944, and moved with his family to Victoria in 1949 where he spent his working career. Bill also leaves many friendships enjoyed through his association with the Masonic Lodge (Past Master - Malahat Lodge #107), Royal Canadian Legion, Rotary Club of Victoria, T. Eaton Company, Better Business Bureau of Vancouver Island and the City of Victoria where Bill served as an Alderman and Mayor from 1971-1981. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, April 16 at 2:00 pm at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Dr., Victoria. The family would like to thank Drs. Marshall and Norgrove and the staff of Saanich Peninsula Hospital for their care and concern. Donations in lieu of flowers please to the B.C.
