Malcolm Buchanan Obituary

BUCHANAN, Malcolm Wright 1940 - May 7, 2015 Malcolm passed away within 1 week of being diagnosed with cancer. Born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1965. He leaves behind his wife Janette and sons Cameron and Calum, daughter-in-laws Sharon and Jackie, and 2 grandchildren, Braedon and Autumn Rayne. Most of Malcolm's work involved Marine Architecture. He was part of the design team that designed the Otter & Beaver shuttle ferries and two coast guard ships which were built in Vancouver. He retired as safety inspector, Transport Canada, Marine Division 2007. He was also President of the Peninsula Soccer Assoc. and Local Cub leader. Malcolm's Memorial Service will be held at Friendship Community Church, 7820 Central Saanich Rd. Saanichton, BC V8M 1T7 on May 16th at 2:00 pm.
