Edward Whittaker

WHITTAKER, Edward (Ed) 1936 - 2016 After a long illness Ed passed away quietly on February 17th. Ed was born in Saskatchewan and spent his formative years in Victoria graduating from Vic High in 1955. His career as a builder, developer and entrepreneur was primarily based in the Lower Mainland and Sechelt. He devoted his retirement years to travelling and enjoying his home in Mexico before returning to Victoria in 2012. He is survived by his wife Valerie, brother Charlie and his family, three daughters Teresa, Alison and Shelley, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. His family wishes to thank the many health professionals and caregivers who supported and cared for him during the final 4 years of his life. We remember him during happier times, and know that he is now in a better place. Services will be held on Monday, February 29th 12:00PM at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra Street.
