After a brief courageous battle with cancer, Leo passed away peacefully with his family and close friends at his side.

Survived by his wife Karen of 55 years, daughters Deanna (Keith Kilgour), Corri (Fredo van Lierop) and Heather (Derrick Hamilton). Grandchildren Michelle & Grant, Kobey & Livia, Hailey, Jaimey & Carson, great-grandson Everett.

Born in Victoria, and raised in Metchosin. Leo's passions were hunting, cars, and trapshooting. Leo began his working career as a carpenter, then became a falling contractor until his retirement in 1989. Leo enjoyed his retirement building a home, restoring his 1963 Corvette, and he loved helping others by repairing anything! Leo was a legend and will be missed dearly by many.

A celebration of Leo's Life will be held Saturday November 9, 2019 @ SVI Rangers 3498 Luxton Road 2-5 pm.

In lieu of flowers please donate in Leo's honour to the Island Kids Cancer Association.

So sad to hear this news. Our family lived next door to the Pike's back in the 60's & 70's on Wickheim Rd.
Leo Pike's name was synonymous with hot cars among my friends and I-in particular his '55 green Chevy and his '63 Corvette. I remember one occasion where I went over and asked Leo for some advice about the transmission on my '56 Ford which I'd messed up on. Well, before I could even finish telling him about the problem, he was over at our place under my Ford, fixing what I had messed up. A follow up to this story is my re-connection with Leo and Karen on a weekend at Cowichan lake a few years ago. After catching up for a time, the conversation led back to some mechanical issues I was having with my motor-home. You guessed it....Leo was on his back under the motor-home checking it out. Always willing to give a hand. He'll be missed.
My heartfelt condolences go out to you Karen, Deanna, Corri, Heather and the family.
