Hello Jenifer- its been a long time since we've talked and you came to Massey to visit me. I do so remember picking rocks at the farm and your kind hospitality. I hope you are well but don't know. Kind wishes to you

I was a student of Phil's at the U of L and was delighted to be introduced to his ranch and his cows....That day, there was a big heart drawn on the window, that read "Phil Loves Jenifer." He was such a wonderful and inspiring teaching. RIP Phil.

I was broken hearted to hear of Phil's passing, he will be so missed. My sympathies to Jenifer and family. There are so many words I could use to describe Phil, he was a brilliant, talented, and incredibly kind man; yet stubborn with a side of humor. He was one of a kind.

Philip,
You were always a cattleman that I truly admired. I always enjoyed talking cattle and making sure you had a good glass of scotch for you at the barns at Agribition. I always loved the knowledge you retained and what you tried to do for the Shorthorn breed. You will be missed and may you rest in peace. Deepest condolences to the entire Butterfield family.
