John LeMay Jr. Obituary

John Orval "J.O." LeMay, Jr., 80, Russellville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.
J.O. was a devout Christian, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all. He was a deacon at Burnout Missionary Baptist Church. He served as trustee of Belgreen High School in the 1960s, Alabama state jurisdictional president of Woodmen of the World, 2011-2012, Franklin County Board of Education, 1968-1980, local chapter Woodmen president, 2009, Fraternal List of the Year Woodmen of the World, local chapter UAW Retirees vice president, and a member of the Gideons. He retired from Ford Motor Company and also Tiffin Motor Homes.
The visitation will be 6–8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Burnout Missionary Baptist Church, with the body lying in state one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be Brother Dan Hindman. Burial will be at Dempsey Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Almedia Marie Johnston LeMay; children, Zonnia Hovater, Lila Fuller (husband, Freddy), Johnny LeMay (wife, Teresa), Ted LeMay (wife, Angie), Tracy Malone (husband, Jamie), and Dana Pollock (husband, Phillip); grandchildren, Bryan Fuller (Angel), Emmy Hovater, Tabitha Blasingame (Craig), T.J. LeMay (Michelle), Mandy Kocisek (Andrew), Erik Fuller (Beth), John LeMay, Meagan LeMay, Kaleb Malone, Abigayle Pollock, Kage Malone, and Ella Pollock; step-grandchildren, Cassie (Trevor), and Tyler (Lyndsie); great-grandchildren, Hunter Fuller, Bo LeMay, Daniel Blasingame, Cade LeMay, Jaxon Kocisek, Matthew Fuller, Madalyn LeMay, Ethan Blasingame, Sara Beth Fuller, Ava Marie Kocisek, Lilly Kay Kocisek; step-great-grandchildren, Keaton, Hadley; siblings, Juanita Dempsey (West Memphis, Ark.), Frank LeMay (Dexter, Mo.), Talmadge LeMay (Russellville, Ala.), Wanda Berggren (Kodak, Tenn.); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John O. LeMay, Sr.; mother, Tennie Gray LeMay; sisters, Verda Hester, Lennis Morris, Elawee Sparks, Opal Dempsey, and Floy Jackson; infant brother and sister; son-in-law, Danny Hovater; and granddaughter, Paige LeMay.
The pallbearers will be Bryan Fuller, Erik Fuller, John LeMay, T.J. LeMay, Kaleb Malone, Andrew Kocisek, Craig Blasingame, and Kage Malone. The honorary pallbearers will be Brother Flavis Puckett, Charles Ezzell, Donald Gober, Leland Shewbart, Dale Hester, J.C. Gober, Ronald Thorn, Gary Williams, Forbus Shewbart, Charles Spears, Dr. Terrance Hart, and Dr. William Heaton.
The family would like to extend special thanks for the prayers, food, thoughts, visits and calls from our friends and neighbors.
Also a special thanks to the EMS service, hospital staff of both ECM and Russellville Hospital, Gentiva Home Health, Dr. Terrance Hart, Dr. William Heaton, Dr. Athanasuleas, and Dr. McCoy for your love and care of our family.

Marie and family, our deepest sympathy for your loss. We will always have fund memories from years past when your family lived and ran the store in the five points community. J.O. was a good person and neighbor. Our prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Aunt Marie, there are no words that could possibly begin to heal your broken heart today. Uncle J.O. was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather. He will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your children and grandchildren.
