Ralph T. Mock Jr.

Ralph Thomas "Tom" Mock Jr., of Stafford, Texas, formerly of Florence, Ala., passed away at his residence Monday, April 2, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Peggy Mock, of Florence, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James K. McNair, Wrens, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mock, Sylvania, Ga.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Darby Mock, and their four children, R. Thomas (Tommy) Mock III, Jeffrey D. (Jay), Katy S. Mock and Elizabeth (Libby) L. Mock, all of Stafford, Texas.
Mr. Mock's other survivors include his brother, Jeff Mock, of Florence, Ala.; sister, Terry L. Mock, Sheffield, Ala.; one nephew, Andy Hoskins; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Mock was employed as a general superintendent with HRE Commercial Contractors in Houston, Texas. He relocated to Texas approximately 30 years ago to begin his career in commercial and industrial development. He oversaw the successful completion of construction projects and developments at various locations across the state of Texas and in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Mr. Mock was a 1973 graduate of Bradshaw High School, Florence, and loved spending time with his children. He was an avid fisherman, a dedicated Alabama football fan and loved southern rock and roll music. He enjoyed old friends, old cars and old dogs.
A private ceremony was held for the immediate family Wednesday, April 4, in Stafford, Texas. A public visitation service is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Earthman Funeral Home, Stafford, Texas, and at Greenview Funeral Home, Florence, Ala., from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012.
