Dear Lisa and Smook family,
I send you my deepest condolences. I am sorry to hear about this unexpected event and am truly am finding myself with a lack of words to properly express my gratitude for him. I am eternally greatful for Brother Smook, just so you know Brother Smook was the first person to visit and reactivate my mother and I. It was him who brought the missionaries to our house that taught me and baptised me. Because of this I am eternally greatful. He was a hometeacher, faithful priesthood holder, and most of all a true friend to me and my family. If he hadn't done what he did, I would not be here today. Stay Strong and remember families are for time and all eternity...I know this now more than ever.

Sadly, we passed the accident scene and for days after kept you and your family in our thoughts and prayers even though we didn't know a name or the circumstances surrounding this sad accident. The newspaper staff helped us learn more details. We would just like you and your entire family to know that we care and that we learn to appreciate those that are still with us. We will continue to lift all of you up in our thoughts and prayers. Anonymous from just someone who cares

Smook Family-

I was deeply saddened to hear about the death of your father and husband. He was a great man. I lived in Seaford for years and worshiped with him in the Yorktown ward. He was a super nice guy and was always very kind to me and my family. I heard of his accident and I felt a great deal of sadness for him. I feel happiness in knowing he is with Christ and Heavenly father in the spirit world. He will be missed. May the Lord bless his family.
