Clarence Benko Obituary
Clarence Benko, 81, of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Suburban Community Hospital, in East Norriton. Born on June 28, 1936 In McAdoo, PA. He was the loving husband of Ann (Pergine) Benko. Clarence served his country with the US Navy for many years before being honorably discharged, after his departure from the military he went on to become a Pennsylvania State Trooper with the Limerick police barracks, and after many years of hard work and dedicated service he rose to the rank of sergeant. In his spare time Clarence was an avid golfer and would do so whenever he had the opportunity. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved spending time with them as much as he could. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and dear friend to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many. In addition to his loving wife Ann, he is survived by his two daughters by marriage, Angeline (Fragale) Carbo, and Catharine (Fragale) Genuardi; Two sisters, Ann (Benko) Shnell, and Elizabeth Benko; he is also survived by his six loving grandchildren, and eight loving great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Clarence on Saturday February 10, 2018 from 9:30-11:00 AM at the Caramenico Funeral Home Inc. 403 E. Main St. Norristown PA. 19401. Services will follow the viewing at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, DeKalb Pk. East Norriton PA. 19401.
