Dominic Martino Jr. Obituary
Dominic A. Martino, Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Suburban Community Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. He was 86. Mr. Martino was a resident of Norristown, PA and a graduate of the former Bridgeport High School. He was a factory worker for a cement company in Port Kennedy. Dominic was an active member of St. Patrick Church in Norristown. He enjoyed yardwork, watching old movies, especially Westerns, and helping his son, Bob, at his business, Ram Construction in Skippack. Dominic was a sports fanatic and a huge Eagles and Phillies fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Dominic was a US Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. Born in Bridgeport, PA, on April 24, 1932, he was a son of the late Dominick and Martina (Malgieri) Martino. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 62 years, Philomena (Giannone) Martino; a son, Robert Martino and his wife, Christine, of Skippack, PA; a daughter, Diane Coulter and her husband, Robert, of Limerick, PA; four grandchildren: Robert Jr., Nicole Ricci and her husband, Keith, Ashley and her fiancée, Chad, and Victoria; two great-grandchildren, Gianna and Ava; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Joseph, William, Anthony, Michael and Ralph Martino; and two sisters, Angeline Frangiosa and Mary Smith. Relatives & friends are invited to Dominic’s Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church, 714 Dekalb St., Norristown, PA on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 am. His viewing will be on Saturday from 9 to 10:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dominic’s memory to St. Patrick Church, 714 Dekalb St., Norristown, PA 19401.
