Michael Jay Bozeman passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 2. Mike was born on April 5, 1944 to Ethel and Jay Bozeman of Vallejo, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Vallejo High School in 1962 and attended St. Vincent's from Kindergarten through 11th grade. Mike served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. He worked in several areas, including restaurant and business management, sales, and roofing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent many memorable times at his Arnold Ranch Duck Club. He, like his father, was an accomplished billiards' player. Mike was many things to many people: a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a doting son and son-in-law, a wonderful brother and brother-in-law, a fun and crazy uncle, and a loyal friend! Mike was just a phone call away for anyone in need of a helping hand, and he will be fondly remembered for his generosity, compassion, and sparkling smile. Of course, his vehicles adorned with "Texas longhorns" will be missed by all! Mike is survived by his wife, Patsy Bozeman; son, Jeffrey (Jami) McDermott; daughters, Jessica (Sean) Grech and Pamela Snider (Tim) Stephens; grandsons, Charles Jay Grech and Colin Michael Grech; sister, Sharon (Jeffrey) Nunn; mother-in-law, Rose Marie Medeiros; sisters-in-law, Karen (Dan) Dion and Denise (Gerry) Fisher; brothers-in-law, David (Suzanne) Medeiros and Robert (Liz) Medeiros; nine nieces, and four nephews. Donations may be made in Mike's memory to the Kaiser Vallejo Hospice, 1761 Broadway, Ste 210, Vallejo, CA 94589, or the American Cancer Society 700 Main St. Ste 102, Suisun City, CA 94585. "I've lived a life that's full, I've traveled each and ev'ry highway, And more, much more than this, I did it my way."

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, June 16, at the Benicia Veteran's Memorial Hall, 1150 1st St., Benicia. Inurnment will be private.

My condolences to Mike's family, he will be missed very much and remembered for his jokes, his smile, his rebel attitude, his kind caring ways, but especially for me, his friendship. Mike was there for me during some difficult times i went through, never judging, just listening, then cracking one of his jokes to make me smile and laugh. I know how much he loved his family and I pray that as time passes, the loss of him will not be so painful. May God take Mike into His loving arms and may Mike rest in peace. I will always admire the fighter in him and he will always remain in my memory as one of the dearest friends I had. God bless all of you and comfort you at this difficult time.
