Robert V. Stockett Notice
June 15, 1930 - Nov. 27, 2017 Vallejo Robert V. Stockett, 87, passed away peacefully Monday at his home in Vallejo, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness. Robert was born to James and Helen Stockett on June 15, 1930 in Annapolis, MD, and has lived in Vallejo the past 59 years. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 10 years, retiring in 1960. He then worked as a pipefitter on Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Shop 56, for over 26 years, retiring in 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Arlene Walker; and his brother, James Stockett. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Audrey; daughter, Tracy Waterman; son, Greg Stockett; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Stockett; son-in-law, Troy Waterman; sisters, Louise Hewitt, and Patricia Groeller; grandchildren, Matthew Stockett, Halie Stockett and Michael Stockett. Robert was beloved and respected by all who knew him. His family and friends will forever cherish his memory and the positive impact he had on their lives. Memorial contributions are preferred to Kaiser Hospice, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, CA 94589. At his request, no services will be held and inurnment will be private.
