Ronald L. Post, Sr., 73, of Dallas, passed away May 19, 2021 at Residential Hospice at Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Hanover Township, he was the son of the late James B. Post Jr. and Helen F. Post.
Ron was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary where he was a two-time National Prep Runner Up wrestler and a member of the football team. He also attended C.W. Post and Wilkes College.
He worked at Post Coach and later co-owned The Hearthstone Pub in Dallas. Ron spent his later years traveling the eastern United States enjoying a successful independent sales career for several tile companies.
He was an award winning equestrian rider. He loved animals, especially his dog Molly. In his free time, Ron loved listening to the oldies, following the stock market & sharing his love of cooking. Many friends enjoyed his pickled eggs, spicy mustard & banana bread.
Ron most of all enjoyed wrestling. In his earlier years, he was a PIAA wrestling official. He later followed his sons' wrestling years at Back Mountain Wrestling Club, Dallas and Ithaca College. Ron loved watching Penn State Wrestling with his sons and friends.
Surviving are his children Kristyn Conrad and husband Gary, Dallas; Ronald Jr. and wife Cher, Pittsburgh; and Wayde, Harvey's Lake; grandchildren, Katie, Caroline & Aidan Conrad, Emma Post & Faye Post; brother, James B. Post III, Hanover Township; Loving companion, Nancy Fremstad, Dallas; and her children, Andrea and Jonathan Prokopchak and her grandson, Lucas.
Friends may call Saturday, May 22nd from 4 to 6 p.m. at Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown. Funeral services will be held privately.

I am sorry so that I missed the service. I was unaware of his passing until late yesterday. I have been friends with Ron since high school and always found him to be a kind, wonderful man. May your wonderful memories of him sustain you during this difficult time.
