To Jim and Family
My family and I offer our deepest condolences over the tragic loss of your Son/Brother Jason. Jim, I recall from our school days just how popular you were. You literally had a posse following your every move. If Jason was anything like his Dad,(which I'm sure that he was), then he had a striking personality and was a regular on the honor roll list as well as being an outstanding athlete. May his memories be a source of comfort to you and all who knew Jason..

Jason

I remember you in diapers
jumping up to dunk a ball
through the plastic hoop.

Over and over, chasing after shots and going up for more.

I remember your toothless smile as
you grew older. Still running, chasing, tireless
- fascinated with this world…

It is how I picture you now:
leading the charge, armed with a smile.

Jim, Susan and Stephen,
Please know that our family is here for you now and always if you should need us, and even though we know and understand your pain all to well, we still struggle to find words to offer that might provide some solace. Unfortunately, there is little we can do or say to ease your pain, but we can hope and pray that you find comfort and peace in the love of family, friends and even strangers. Our community is a strong one, and the outpouring of love, support and generosity never ceases to amaze me. We know, and are so grateful, that you too are being surrounded by this now. In the days that follow may that strong support hold you tight and carry you forward. Much love and peace to all of you, Ray, Kelly, Brian and Michelle Gibbons.

To the Shilling family....I don't know your family, but I lost a baby granddaughter 9 years ago this month...if the Lord leads you to it He will love you through it..my son's family and I now celebrate the short 2 1/2 years we had her to love...always blessings; never losses. How proud you can be of the joy Jason shared in the few years he was given to you to love...and may you feel his love and joy with you always as St. John Chrysostom said, "THOSE WHOM WE LOVE AND LOSE ARE NO LONGER WHERE THE WERE BEFORE. THEY ARE NOW WHEREVER WE ARE." The Compassionate Friends is a group of folks who have experianced the same losses. Every 2nd Sunday of December, a candle is lit outdoors from 7 to 8 PM in every time zone around the world. A 24 hour celebration of the light of our children's lives! That is this Sunday, the 9th. With my candle for Maddie i will remember your Jason. I hope you will be able to light one for him also this Sunday Comfort,Paryers and Blessings, A friend who cares

Jim and family, I saw the news about your son in the Times Leader. Along with my family we send you our thoughts, wishes and prayers. I can't imagine much worse than loosing a child.
Although we haven't seen or talked to each other in a very long time I am reminded of you often. You may remember my nephew Jeremy is named after your father. He will be celebrating his 40th B Day on the 7th. In the Jewish religion it is often the first letter, J used rather than the identicle first name. He is living in NC and the father of two.
Once again, we wish you the best.

I will forever remember and love Jay for being the dear friend to my little brother and the little brother of my dear friend Steven who was always so full of life, such a genuine joy to be around, the smiling face and charming boy who could put me in a good mood and command into 'cool big sister' mode even on the worst of days. Broken hearts will never be mended from this terrible loss, but Jay's spirit and all of the amazing memories and good feelings that come along with them will hold strong for the rest of our lives. I pray for strength for the Schilling family and all of the lives that he touched, I pray that reveling in memory's of the good times with him and working to to honor his legacy by keeping the free and easy spirit he had will help his loved ones through this terrible loss. I vow to be here for unconditional support for Steven, my brother Dylan and any other friends and family members of Jay's who need it. Love and deepest condolences to all,
