Matilda Shudak Obituary
Matilda ``Tillie' Shudak, 78, of South Grant Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Friday, April 9, 2004, in Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born March 14, 1926, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Isadore and Mary Ann Kosloski Skoronski. She resided in Wilkes-Barre her entire life and was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by various garment factories in the Wyoming Valley area. She was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Maternity, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. She was also a member of the Jolly Jills Card Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron, in 2001; brothers, Alphonse Skoronski and Leo Skoronski; and sister, Josephine Pilch.
Surviving are sons, Richard Shudak, Wilkes-Barre; James Shudak, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Joan Schiffhauer, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren: Eric, Edward and Robin Shudak; Theresa and April Shudak; Robert and Steven Smith; and Adam Schiffhauer; sisters, Frances Polak, Wilkes-Barre; Theresa Wengen, Wilkes-Barre; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Robert Bednarski Funeral Home, 27 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church of the Maternity. Interment is in the parish cemetery, West Wyoming.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday.
