FORTY FORT — Nicholas "Nick" Shultz, of Forty Fort, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013.
Nick was born in Wilkes-Barre on Sept. 24, 1979, a son of Ernest Shultz and the late Donna Hill Shultz.
Nick was a graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School and had been taking classes at Luzerne County Community College. He was currently employed at the Tobyhanna Army Depot, where he served a voluntary six-month tour of Iraq, repairing military equipment.
Nick was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan and an avid gamer. He loved spending his free time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Hill Shultz; paternal grandfather, William Shultz; maternal grandmother, Vivian Caley Hill; and the joy of his life, his daughter, Camryn Lee Shultz.
Surviving are his father, Ernest Shultz; brothers, Thomas and Wes; and grandfather, Don Hill, all of Nanticoke; and grandmother, Priscilla Shultz, West Nanticoke.
Despite the circumstances surrounding his death, Nick's family and friends will remember him as a gentle and loving soul.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, East Main Street, Nanticoke.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center for the Prevention of Abuse or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Arrangements are by the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc., 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke.

To the entire Shultz family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that you must be consumed with grief right now having lost two members of your family but I hope that you can take comfort in their memories. Keep the good times in your heart, remember them as they were and I hope that with time you can find peace.
