Skyler Notari Obituary
Skyler James Notari, 5, of Scranton, died Friday, November 19, 2010, at the Geisinger Health System Janet Weis Children's Hospital, Danville. Born in Scranton, he was a son of James A. Notari and Heather M. Hoyt Myers. He attended West Scranton Head Start Program and the NEIU at the Goodwill Building. Skyler touched the life of all that came into contact with him. His good nature and friendliness was noticed by everyone. He loved poppies, four wheelers and enjoyed doing "Big Man Stuff" with his dad, going in the basement to do projects. Skyler was loved and he loved everyone in return. As a final act of love, his organs were donated so that other children may enjoy the gift of life. He will always be in the hearts of his loved ones. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Barbara Metzger Hoyt, Tunkhannock; paternal grandparents, Robert and Darlene Gash Notari, Scranton; great-grandfather Emil Notari; aunt and godmother Darcey Notari; uncle and godfather Glenn Hoyt Jr.; aunts and uncles Lorne Notari and wife Tara, and Robert Notari and wife Jacqueline; as well as several cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Patrick F. Guido Funeral Home Inc., 120 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with Prime Bishop Anthony Mikovsky officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Scranton Head Start Program, 1303 Washburn St., Scranton, PA 18504. I do not know your family, but your beautiful son will live on with the gift of life.
