PLYMOUTH — Mark Matthew Bogdon, 43, formerly of Plymouth, beloved father, son and brother, passed away suddenly on July 16, 2016.
He is survived by his daughter Emma, 12; mother, Carolyn (Skapura) Bogdon; siblings, Marlene Deal, John and Kevin; five nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Bogdon, 2002, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Mark lived life to its fullest despite his M.S. diagnosis. He was a wonderful, fun, loving, caring and generous man, who largely lived his life for his daughter, Emma, and he took great pride in his involvement in Emma's grade school PTO.
Mark always had an entrepreneurial spirit and followed it through when he and his brother Kevin started Futuristic Innovative Graphics screen printing company. After 11 successful years, the company was sold in 2002, and then Mark followed his true passion as a master electrician and started Ambiance Lighting Company. Most recently, he worked at UGI as a transfer station programmer. Mark was an avid guitarist and frequently played in his free time.
The funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday from the Kielty-Moran Funeral Home Inc., 87 Washington St., Plymouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church, Shavertown. Interment in St. Casimir Cemetery, Muhlenberg. Relatives and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kielty-Moran Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a custodial account has been established for Emma Bogdon at PNC Bank, 2485 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA, 18612.
