Judi (Smith) Bell Obituary
Judi Bell (Smith)

age 77, passed away at home on Jan. 7, 2019. Born in Canton, Ohio, Judi was a graduate of Timken High School and lived in Strasburg for the last 15 years and prior to that in Bolivar, Ohio. She was a proud homemaker and 'Nana' to her granddaughters. She cherished time spent with her daughter, Jennifer Bell-Dillon, her son-in-law, Shawn Dillon and their daughters, Abbey and Maleah. In particular she enjoyed the many vacations with them to Hilton Head Island, a special trip to Hawaii and many Thanksgivings in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Judi is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Robert Bell. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bell-Dillon; son-in-law, Shawn Dillon; granddaughters, Abbey and Maleah Dillon; "adopted children" Lorie Lape of Cincinnati, Ohio and David Schraft of Bolivar, Ohio; and special companion, Gary Tallmadge of Dover, Ohio. Judi is also survived by a son, Aaron. Judi wished to remain in her home throughout her illness which was made possible by loving caregivers, Cindy McCartney, her husband, Dan McCartney, their daughter, Kelsie, and several members of Home Instead Agency. Along with her daughter, Jennifer, one of Judi's most special caregivers was her granddaughter, Abbey who spent many nights by her side. The family would like to express warmest gratitude to those who provided support to them as they cared for Judi over the past several years in particular Dr. Richard Cooper and staff and their "extended family" in Dover, Ohio.

A private cremation took place. Reed Funeral Home in Canton has been entrusted with arrangements. Judi was a private person and never liked being the center of attention and per her wishes there will be no services. Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence by visiting the funeral home website at www.reedfuneralhome.com.
