JOSEPH HREN Obituary

Joseph A. Hren 1957-2017

59, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, lost his 2 ½ year battle with cancer on December 10, 2017. Joe was born on December 14, 1957, and was a son of the late Frank and Inez (Nazionale) Hren, Jr., living most of his life as a Uhrichsville resident. A graduate of Claymont High School, Joe went on to attend Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, becoming diverse in both life and career. His most recent career endeavor was instrumentation and control contracting with nuclear power plants around the country, mostly with the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a regular internet participant on Mike Holt's Electrical Code Forum. Joe's greatest joy came from helping others, along with events shared with family, friends, and colleagues.

Joe is survived by his brother, Robert (Lisa) Hren of Port Washington; sister, Loretta (Paul) Walker of New Philadelphia; nieces, René Frascone and Emma Hren; and nephews, Louie Hren and Steve Reffett.

Father Tyron Tomson will celebrate the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, in Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery near Dennison. Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Altar Society and Community Hospice.

Very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I went to high school with him. Still remember him acing the final algebra test with no notes in just a few minutes. We were all in awe! Had some fun times with him and MaryAnn in our younger days. Many blessings to his family.

I've known Joe as "Smart$" for a lot of great discussions about deriving practical assemblies for Power and Light solely from the written word. His gifts and insights will be missed at the Forum. Namaste'
