Tucker, Colbath A. "Colby" MECHANICVILLE Colbath A. "Colby" Tucker, 76, of Summerfield Circle, died on Monday, May 14, 2018, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Colby was born on November 11, 1941, in Gloucester, Mass., the son of the late William C. and Una Anderson Tucker. He was a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in sanitary engineering and graduate of R.P.I. with a master's degree in environmental engineering. He was an Army veteran and served from 1966-1969. Colby was employed by the N.Y.S. Department of Environmental Conservation for over forty years. In the final years of his career, he was recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Environment Canada for his contributions to the preservation of Lake Ontario. He was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing with his wife. He was also an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox. Colby is survived by his wife of 52 years, Colleen McCarthy Tucker; his devoted children, Jonathan (Beth) Tucker of Camillus, N.Y. and Aimee (Joseph) Treffiletti of Peachtree Corners, Ga.; and one precious granddaughter Lauren Tucker. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 18, from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clifton Park Halfmoon Library, 475 Moe Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065 or to the Community Hospice of Albany, 310 S. Manning Blvd. Albany, NY, 12208. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. My deepest sympathy to everyone. Colby was such a gentleman and will be missed by many. I have many fond memories of him, especially those of boating in Lake George. May he now be at peace.
