Jean M. Campbell

Campbell, Jean M. RENSSELAER Jean M. Thomas Campbell, age 84 years, of Rensselaer passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Riverside Nursing Home in Castleton. She was born in Plattsburgh and lived in Lewis, N.Y. before moving to Rensselaer. Jean was a graduate of Elizabeth-town High School and was employed by the phone company and the State of New York Office of General Services for 26 years. She was a member of the Rensselaer Senior Center and the Red Hat Society. Mom was hardworking and was the first female building manager for NYS OGS. She enjoyed travel and playing bingo with the bingo girls for many years. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wife of the late William Campbell; daughter of the late George and Mildred Cross Thomas; mother of Jean (Andris) Muller, Kellie (Frank) Archam-beault, Nancy (Jim) Frederick, Colin (Sharon) Campbell, Thomas (Nancy) Campbell, Susan (Dan) Marvelli, Georgiana (Joe) Schaller and the late Beverly Campbell; sister of George Thomas and Ann Whitiman. Also survived by 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer, Friday evening at 7. Relatives and friends are also invited to call at the funeral home Friday prior to the service from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Broadway United Methodist Church 1550 Broadway, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
