19 years since you've left. Missing you like it was Yesterday

It will be 19 years since your passing and Spa Catholic will never forget you. I will always be thankful to Fr. Tony because he hired me at Spa Catholic and helped me secure a position at CCHS teaching all Theology 12 courses for 23 years. He worked hard to save Spa Catholic from closing.
He was a teacher, as well as a counselor, to many students and tried to know their backgrounds. He was also the weight lifting moderator and he enjoyed working out with his students. He was a very close friend to Bishop Hubbard and he dedicated the school's chapel to him for his work as the campus minister.
Personally, he became a close friend and I still miss exchanging Xmas cards with him.
He was more than just a campus minister and a teacher.
He actually was the administrator who saved Spa Catholic.
Fr. Tony continue to inspire Spa Catholic and keeps the Spa Catholic legacy alive.
My uncle, Fr. Iannotti, continues to remember him in his masses.
Fr. Tony we will never forget you.

Fr. Tony,
Thank you for all that you have done for my family. A great spiritual leader and an honest and thoughtful man, you truly led by example, and put as much effort into listening as you did in speaking. I hope that you rest in peace as you watch over us. I hope to see you in the afterlife, my friend - you would be so proud of the legacy you left behind.

Well, My Friend...you are about to celebrate your sixth month in Heaven. Seems like yesterday that we watched sadly as you left us. I will never forget you...your kind heart, and your loving friendship. My Mom is with you now. What a happy thought knowing you greeted her as she arrived.
I miss our online chats every morning before work...
My heart is heavy now, but I know in time, we'll all be together again. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Sometimes with sadness, but mostly with a smile.
Peace and Love to you, my Friend,
Brian

My deepest sympathies to the family of Fr. Tony. I was shocked to hear of his loss. I was privileged to have known Fr. Tony during my high school years at Saratoga Central Catholic. He always had such a kind and gentle presence about him that made everyone who met him want to be around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Wet 'n Wild had the most perfect weather even though it we had a 50% chance of rain. I believe that Tony was running around chasing the clouds away. Tony was always there for me with my questions, quirks and concerns. He would talk with me as though I was his only concern and that there wasn’t a pile of papers on his desk needing attention or dozens of other youth ministers waiting to talk with him. He never made me feel stupid and always gave me encouraging words. He was quick to compliment and slow to anger. I will miss his guidance, conversations and the times when I made him laugh really hard.(NCYC Atlanta) I know that Tony is still working for the youth in a new way. My prayers to Tony’s family and loved ones during this great time of loss. In His Steps, Gail Ransom

To the family of Father Tony, please know how much he was treasured by those whose lives he touched, even briefly. I was fortunate enough to meet Fr. Tony when he spent a summer as chaplin at Pyramid Lake Camp, a Children's camp in the Catholic Diocese of Albany, NY. As a young adult, I took to Tony's kind and gentle guidance and so enjoyed his humorous ways. I was happier yet about five years later when I saw him saying Mass at St. Peter's in Saratoga Springs, when he was assigned to Spa Catholic. Tony was an inspiration to those who knew him-I still think of him often and fondly. Please know that he made an impact on my life, and those of the campers that we served.

My heart goes out to all the friends and family of "Fr." Tony. He touched the lives of so many and I feel priveleged to have had him in mine through high school and Journey, funerals, weddings, births - and life. He was one of the most "real" and genuine people I have ever known. Rest in peace. You are already missed.

Tony,
I am going to miss our lunches together. When I see the fennel and greens growing in my garden, I now think of you.
We all are going to miss you at CLA, Wet 'n Wild, etc. We know that you are still with us and will continue to help us in a new way.

Many have lost more than a friend; part of a family. He provided a great spiritual presence at Saratoga Central Catholic and in the parish of St. Peter. A gentle man and a sincere individual that cared for others, giving more than he received.
Those that know a part of Tony realize how fitting that he returns to Elmont, not far from Belmont, as he well loved a special part of Saratoga, especially in August!
Rest in peace to a faithful servant.

To the family of Tony Maione,
Fr Tony was a caring and loving person. We had many interesting insightful conversations about faith, family, love and Italian cooking.
When he lived in the rectory at St. Peter's he would share many of the dishes he prepared.
We have all missed him since he left Saratoga and are now saddened by his death.
My very deep sympathy to his family. Loosing our loved ones is always difficult.
Peace and love to all.

One of Fr. Tony's first assigments after being ordained was a summer at Pyramid Lake Camp in Paradox, New York, a summer camp owned and operated by the Catholic Diocese of Albany. As he said, it was a long way from the streets of Long Island, but he quickly adjusted to the chipmunks running through his cabin, the echo off of Bear Mountain, the incredible smell of the pines and the silence bouncing off the lake before the first camper awoke. Fr. Tony was a quiet spiritual leader and his youth and willingness to listen endeared him to both staff and campers. I will remember with great fondness the friendship we found that summer and our many games of pinochle in the "Mouse House." I was honored to call Fr. Tony a friend and even more honored when he presided over my wedding several years later. I know how many lives he touched during that summer at Pyramid Lake Camp and it's obvious his commitment to youth of all abilities was far reaching. My sympathies to his family and to all who knew him. We are all truly blessed to have crossed paths with this very special man.

To the family and friends of Father Tony,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the untimely passing of Father Tony. It was my privilege to meet and socialize with Tony when he first moved into Saratoga County over 15 years ago. His caring and respectful nature was evident to all. By both word and deed, he inspired in others a more refined appreciation for the humanity that we share in common. Tony was someone that you liked to be around. He will be sorely missed.

Dear MaryAnn Maione Marino,
I am very grateful to God for my friendship with Anthony which started when we were in the seminary in Washington, DC. I am thankful that I was able to get to know your family and share in some of your family gatherings. Anthony was a great witness to the power and love of Jesus Christ. I will miss him. I pray that you will have the strength of faith he had and the peace and consolation of Christ now and always. I am sorry that I will not be able to be present at the funeral but I will keep you and your family in my prayers. May he rest in peace with your mom, dad and brother.
