Passino, Glenn P. "Butchie" Sr. RENSSELAER Glenn P. "Butchie" Passino Sr., age 70, of Rensselaer, passed away on September 13, 2018, at the V.A. Hospital. Glenn honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was very proud of his service and remained an advocate for the military and veterans for many years. Glenn enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and volunteering at the Rensselaer Senior Center (he loved table five!). He loved camping with family, as well as, riding his motorcycle with his sons. Glenn was also a proud member of his childhood group The Rensselaer Hollow Hawks. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Sharon (Salisbury); and siblings, Joan Marie Passino, Frances Passino, Mitchell (Theresa) Passino, Gordon Passino, and Betty Mosley. He is survived by his three sons, Glenn (Karen) Passino, Moon (Aimee) Passino, and Joe (Debbie) Passino; and grandchildren, G. Philip III (Becca) and Marissa, Jaxon, Ethan and Katelyn, and Justice, Nicholas, Alex, and Wesley (Lauren). Glenn was the loving brother of Larry (Judy) Passino and in-laws, Sandy Passino and Art (Penny) Mosley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank and acknowledge Kim Valle for the support and assistance she gave dad; and the Albany V.A. Hospital for all the care they have given him over the years. Services will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday in the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Friends and family are invited to his calling hours on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. As a Vietnam veteran, he will be buried in the Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
