James Riedel guided me through research papers for a political science degree. He gave me a binder of student research papers on Albany County politics and history from 1964 to 1972. I still have them, but I should replace the binder.

Dear Riedels,
What wonderful, fond and lasting memories I have of Mr. Riedel. We had a charmed childhood, living across the alley from you, playing hockey on the skating rink in your backyard, and just hanging out in the alley. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Our lives were enriched by his friendship, and I am saddened by his death.
