Kaczmarek, Jean O'Dea ALBANY Jean Julia O'Dea Kaczmarek, 81, entered eternal life on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Leo and Julia Clarke O'Dea. Jean graduated from Blessed Sacrament School and Vincentian Institute. She had been married for the past 59 years to Richard Kaczmarek, whom she met in Lake George in 1958. Jean's employment included the Commissary at the Stratton V.A. Medical Center, N.Y.S. Psychology Department, Harvey & Harvey Law Firm, N.Y.S. Department of Arts & Music, and until her retirement in 2003, N.Y.S. State Aid. In addition to her husband, Jean is the beloved mother of Karen Kaczmarek and Kristine Camadine (Edward); cherished grandmother of Jake and Maxwell Camadine; sister of Leo O'Dea, Rita Aviza, Eileen Roach (Bill), Marilyn Servideo (Tony), and the late Gerald O'Dea, Ted O'Dea, Mary Aloisi (My Molly), Eleanor Pelgrin and Patricia O'Brien Stamas. She is also survived by 37 nieces and nephews and 24 grandnieces and grandnephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Colonie EMS and Police and Fire Departments, AMCH ER and Wing C5 for their excellence and care. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jean's family on Thursday, May 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen St., Albany. Funeral services on Friday, May 18, at 9:45 a.m. in the McVeigh Funeral Home, thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany, at 10:30 a.m. where her funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal will be held in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery immediately following the funeral Mass.
