Toucher, John Joseph CLIFTON PARK John Joseph Toucher, 64, of Clifton Park, died on Tuesday September 4, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 20, 1954 in Mount Vernon, N.Y. and was the son of the late John J. and Ethel Bertrand Toucher. He was a graduate of Carey High School in Franklin Square, N.Y and SUNY at Utica, class of 1977. John retired from New York State as a senior investigator having worked there for over 27 years. Earlier, he had worked for the Marine Midland Bank in Syracuse. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Ann Toucher, whom he married on September 20, 1986. He had been an active member of the Vischer Ferry Fire Company for 14 years. He was an avid golfer and gardener. He enjoyed hunting and most importantly spending time at the lake house at Lake Ontario with his family. He was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park and the "Grumps." Survivors in addition to his beloved wife Kathy, are his daughter Mary Kathleen "Katie" Toucher of Clifton Park; his sister Eileen (James) Cowley of Hicksville, N.Y. and his large beloved family and beautiful friends, nieces and nephews. A full departmental funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road Clifton Park, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9, Clifton Park. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
