McArdle, Mark COLONIE Mark McArdle, 66, of Colonie, completed his life journey on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Mark fought a courageous battle against cancer with his loving family "lurking" at his side. Born in Albany, Mark is the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Hofaker) McArdle; devoted husband of 30 years to Debbie (Hallahan) McArdle; proud father of his three cherished daughters, Kelly "The Matriarch" Simeone (Nick), Erin "Ralph" McArdle (Dominick Amanatides), Meagan "Deer Eyes" Girgenti (Joe); beloved grandfather of Bianca, Giovanni, Marina, Riley, Liam, Jackson, Anthony, Juliana and Gia; brother of the late Kevin McArdle USMC, Neil McArdle and Colleen Haight (William) survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Upon graduation from Albany High School Mark enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Mark was employed as a sheet metal worker with 35 years of service with Local 83, retiring in 2005. Mark never missed a family event and always put his family first. Mark was a Boston Red Socks fan, enjoyed playing Keno at the Racino and looked forward to track season. Mark enjoyed traveling the world, especially his travels to Ireland, Spain, London, Italy, Scotland, Paris and the Beaches of Normandy. Mark loved his Harley and spent countless hours riding. He will be missed by many driving the streets of the Capital District. Some of his favorite road trips included Washington, D.C., Arizona, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the members of Rolling Thunder 5 NY for making the Washington D.C. trips a reality for Mark. Thank you to the staff at St. Peter's Hospital and Hospice nurses Heather and Amanda for the excellent care they provided Mark. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, at 10 a.m. at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie. Please honor Mark by dressing in jeans and tee shirts. Relatives and friends may also call at the Magin & Keegan Funeral Home, 891 Madison Ave., Tuesday, from 4-7. Interment in Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark's memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
