Tanski, Mary M. BETHLEHEM Mary M. Tanski, 60, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Mary was born in Albany on January 30, 1958, and was the beloved daughter of the late Francis S. and Emily M. (Hunter) Tanski. Mary was raised in Albany and was a communicant of the former St. Patrick's Church. Mary possessed a spirit so bright that she inspired everyone within arm's reach. She enjoyed work and social activities with an endless passion, providing us all a vital example of how to participate in life without hesitation. Mary's endless good will and fellowship were legendary to friends at the Center of Disability Services and fellow residents. She unconditionally loved others and was loved by many. Her purity of heart was displayed in everything she did and her courage of character burned undimmed during her challenging final days. We were all graced by this angel. Mary's family wishes to express deep gratitude for the loving kindness and care provided to her by the Center of Disability Services and everyone at her residences at Union Street and Slingerlands. Their heartfelt efforts were instrumental in her becoming a wonderful woman and enjoying her life to its fullest. Also, thanks to all the compassionate team at St. Peter's Hospital for helping Mary in the past months. Mary is survived by her brothers, Charles F. (Sandra) Tanski of Las Cruces, N.M. and Stephen A. (Kathrine) Tanski of Vienna, Va.; niece, Sarah E. Tanski. Special mention of her late uncle, John Tanski, for his close relationship with Mary. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, gravesite location in Saint Peter's Shrine area.
