Murray, Peter J. Jr. COLONIE Peter J. Murray Jr., 73, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the Community Hospice Inn surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Peter and Evelyn Murray Sr. Pete served in the Army National Guard 210th Armored Division. He worked as an autobody technician for many years. Pete was past chief and a proud 49-year member of West Albany Fire Dept. He enjoyed wintering in Florida, NASCAR and football. Pete is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Elizabeth E. Murray. He is the father of Peter J. (Tami) Murray III, Louise (Daniel) Sullivan, Joseph (Jennifer) Murray and Carol Ann (Jeffery) Dunn. He is the cherished grandfather of Daniel, Joshua, Kimberly, Brett, Julia Ann, Emily, Jessie and Ashley. He is also survived by six brothers and sisters, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday at 12 p.m. at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie thence to the Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 1 p.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice, Gift Processing Center, 310 S.
