Riccio, Pupa ALBANY Pupa Riccio, 83, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. Pupa Macchina from Siderno Marina, Reggio Calabria, Italy, she was the loving wife of Osvaldo Riccio; and adoring mother of Gabriella Riccio; survived by sisters, Maria CariCari (Albany), Mafalda Commisso (Italy), Josephine Maselli (Latham), the late brother, Armando Macchina (Albany), and late sister, Elena Macchina (Italy); countless nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends in both Italy and Albany. Pupa came to the United States (Albany) in 1956, and married her first love in 1960. She was a passionate nutrition writer and cook, compassionate animal lover, loved family gatherings and was known as the cheerful light of any event. Her only child, Gabriella, was the light of her life. Relatives and friends are invited and may respectfully call Tuesday, June 12, 4-7 p.m. McVeigh Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 13, at 9:30 a.m. at Parish of Mater Christi, Albany, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
