Born in Troy, he graduated from Ichabod Crane High School. He was the son of the late Richard and Helen Malone Shakerley. His truest pride and joy was starting his business, VRS Sales, that allowed him to be around fireman and fire engines. Dick is the beloved husband of Virginia R. McClure Shakerley of Clifton Park; father of Nate (Nicole) Shakerley of Troy, Rich (Nikki) Shakerley of Clifton Park and A.J. The funeral will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Church of Saint Joseph, Stuyvesant Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
