Otis, Stephen P. WEST BEND, Wis. Gone too soon, Stephen Peter "Odie" Otis, 52, of West Bend, passed suddenly at his home on August 12, 2018. Born on July 28, 1966, in Albany, Stephen was predeceased by parents, Donald L. Otis and Catherine H. Otis of Colonie; maternal grandparents, Stephen and Helen Ulenski of Voorheesville and paternal grandparents, Leon and Dorothy Otis of Colonie. He is survived by his beloved daughter Autumn Otis and her mother Rachel Galka of Niskayuna; stepmother "Ma" Rosemary Otis of Rotterdam; brother Lee (Leila) Otis of Delanson, brother Scott (Kim) Otis of Glenville and sister Korin (Sammy) Polito of Rotterdam. He is also survived by three nephews, four nieces and two great-nieces as well as best friends, Richard Stern of Charlton, and Bryan Chamberlain, Mike Schmidt, Josh Junghans and several others who became his "Wisconsin family." He may be remembered for his love of laughter, free spirit, and a sense of adventure. Stephen will be best remembered, though for his big heart, and the ability to always make you feel that you really mattered. He was also a lover of the outdoors, particularly spending time at his father's cabin in Saranac Lake, N.Y. and many weekends camping at Hope Falls, N.Y. Graveside services will be held in Our Lady of Angels cemetery in Colonie on Friday, September 28, at 2 p.m. A celebration of life immediately to follow at Wolfs 1-11, at 111 Wolf Rd., Colonie.
